The plot is based on the video game Ayakashi. Ayakashi is a parasitic form of life that grants supernatural abilities to its host in exchange for their life force. The main character is a student who lost the will to live after the death of his childhood friend. When he meets the mysterious girl Eimi Yoake, his life changes dramatically. Pursued by Ayakashi carriers, the young man awakens his own power, and an endless battle begins.
