Ня-тан is a cat from Chinese astrology who desperately wants to be part of the zodiac circle of twelve animals. However, no matter how hard she tries and what silly tricks she resorts to, she just can't seem to achieve her dream. This is because she is extremely simple-minded and also suffers from memory lapses. Takeru Amato is an ordinary Japanese high school student living alone in Akihabara. One day, their paths cross, and Nya-tan ends up taking up residence in Takeru's home. Now, Nya-tan may have a chance to reach her goal!
