Lina Inversto, known as the enemy of all living things and a bandit killer, and her sworn friend Naga the Serpent stumbled upon a renowned town during their travels. There, they meet a strange girl named Laia Einburg, who turns out to be the daughter of the local golem master, Galia Einburg. It becomes apparent that golems are a true symbol of the town, and many inhabitants possess skills in their production. Galia has a son, Huey Einburg, who is young and ambitious. The golems belonging to Huey and Laia somehow come into conflict, and Lina and Naga decide to look into the matter to help Laia. However, Laia may come to regret this decision.
