The fourth season begins exactly where the third season left off. The final day of the National Tournament is approaching, with only two days remaining. As before, three teams are vying for the tournament victory: the current champions, Sohoku High School, who are determined to defend their title; Hakone Academy, who finished second and are desperate to reclaim the top spot; and of course, Kyoto Fushimi High School, led by ace Akira Midousuji, who surprised everyone with their performance. The winner is impossible to predict, as anything can happen. Will Sakamichi Onoda help Sohoku once again? Or will something unexpected occur? Will Hakone return to the top as the "true champions"? Or will Kyoto Fushimi turn everything upside down? The battle will end when only one team emerges victorious!
