Адели's grandfather frequently changes his place of residence because, like all members of his race, he possesses a unique and rather dangerous ability to transfer the consciousness of any being into a rag doll. This ability, if it falls into the wrong hands, can cause a great deal of trouble. It is precisely because of this that the small race of penguin-like creatures is forced to constantly hide.
