Акира Окудзаки

Akira, Takumi's assistant and bodyguard, is typically cold and reserved in character, although she loves and worries about Takumi. Similar to "Mai-HiME", her first appearance on screen was in the guise of a man, as she substituted for Takumi during a visit to Windbloom when he had fled to the city. While her functions with Takumi are akin to those of an Otome, she is not an Otome herself. Moreover, when asked about it, she responds with some irritation, saying "Don't put me in the same category as them." This attitude towards Otome seems to be influenced by Mai's fate, who disappeared during her Otome training. Akira herself is more akin to a kunoichi (female ninja).
