The leader of the One-Eyed Demon Clan, which is part of the Nura Clan. He holds an honored position in the clan and is among Nurarihyon's advisors. He was the one who wanted Rikuo to not become the third head the most. 400 years before the main events, he participated in Nurarihyon's "Parade of One Hundred Demons" against Hagoromo-gitsune, where he saved Kokehime, as a result of which she became strongly attached to her savior. In Japanese mythology, the hitodama-nyudo is a fairly well-known yokai that travels the roads of the country. His name translates as "one-eyed priest." Since he is dressed in the rich clothes of a priest, he could easily be mistaken for one, if it were not for the one large eye instead of two. These yokai often travel in palanquins, which are carried by weaker yokai or sometimes human slaves, forming a fantastically lush procession. When travelers encounter such a procession, it stops, and the hitodama-nyudo himself emerges from the palanquin, attacking the people. It is believed that it is impossible to escape from these yokai because they have long legs. They also possess immense strength and can increase in size at will, sweeping away trees with a wave of their arms and finding their hidden prey in the forest.
