Юма's cousin, a reincarnation of Smyrna, the elder sister of Serena. Like Kaidai, he remembers his past life and hates Kaidai for abandoning Serena during the eruption. He feels repulsed by hot weather, as he has very vivid memories of the destruction of Pompeii. When Yuma's family moved to the city, Shinogu began working as a teacher at the same school where Kaidai studies. He has a reputation as a womanizer and despises men (except for Yuma). Since Smyrna was close friends with Lady Aglaia, Shinogu was incredibly happy to meet Suna, Aglaia's reincarnation. Shinogu expresses discontent towards Sauti Mikage, as in his past life, Sauti betrayed Aglaia.
