Кодо Икусэй, a first-year high school student, was assigned to class 1-B. He claims to have come from the same middle school as Kikyō Kushida and Suzune Horikita. He is a polite and friendly young man who quickly befriended both his peers and upperclassmen like Kikyō Kushida. For the first exam, he became her first-year partner. He is a fifth-generation student of the "White Room" and has achieved the best results among his peers, surpassing even Ichika Amasawa's incredible innate talents. However, he did not receive proper recognition, as he continued to be compared to the best graduate of the project, Kiyotaka Ayanokōji. Full of envy and anger, he hated Ayanokōji and was determined to prove that he could surpass him. Therefore, he agreed to go to Kōdō Ikusei with Ichika to bring Kiyotaka back. Thanks to the socialization lessons that Ayanokōji and previous generations lacked, he easily integrated into the group. However, once in the new school, he was immediately disappointed with the school program and began to consider his peers "children." To endear himself to people, he uses compliments, quickly gaining the necessary trust among his classmates. He infiltrated Kushida's trust by using knowledge of her past to manipulate her. He was one of those who knew about the 20 million private points award for expelling Kiyotaka Ayanokōji from the school. At the beginning of the school year, he organized the expulsion of his classmate Riku Utomiya, sowing discord among his parallel class and drawing unnecessary attention to himself. Through the joint efforts of Kyō Ishizaki, Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, and several other first-year students, Takuya was expelled from Kōdō Ikusei and returned to the "White Room."
