The action takes place in the near future. The "Persona Century" corporation controls most of the planet. In the Tokyo district of Kabuki, the opposition faction "Messiah" has launched extensive activities, thanks to which Kabuki remains practically the only island of freedom on the planet. Darkseid is a mysterious stranger who protects the residents of Kabuki.
