Юко Кусака, a Japanese journalist, traveled to Brazil to gather material for an article about the gold rush. She hopes to meet the renowned gold prospector Rio Baraki, as rumors suggest he is in the Amazon forests. Upon arrival, the journalist and her team are attacked by local bandits, but are rescued by a gray-haired man with a scar on his back named Keisuke Ibaraki.
