This text describes a collection of four independent stories about the activities of the 9th Division of the Public Security Section, which complement the events of the original "Ghost in the Shell" manga and the continuation "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex". The stories included in this "one and a half" volume are "The Big Boss" (1991), "Subordinate Disc" (1992), "Mines for the Mind" (1995), and "Lost Past" (1996), as well as a short preface by the author and comments on each chapter added in 2003.
