The manga is based on the video game Etrian Odyssey 2. Adventurers from different places flock to the city of Lagaard, wishing to explore the Yggdrasil labyrinth - a mysterious forest full of hostile monsters and complex obstacles. The Lagaardian government notices this activity and gives a group of adventurers the task of conquering the labyrinth and unraveling its dark secret.
