Сидзука Аида was sentenced to death for the brutal murder of his own family. Three days before the sentence was to be carried out, a shinigami, revealed to be his younger sister Hibiki, appears in his cell to ensure his soul goes to hell. However, in the process, she also intends to fulfill the last wish of a girl with a heart condition, taking Shizuka along. It soon becomes apparent that things are not as straightforward as they seem, and even Shizuka's guilt is called into question. Hibiki and Shizuka make a promise to jointly seek the truth about their family's death, and they will not let life, death, or the problems of the afterlife stand in their way.
